Quartz is a countertop material manufactured through compression. It consists of more than 90% natural quartz. The remainder is made up of binding agents such as resin, and decorative elements, such as glass or mirror fragments.

The surface of quartz is very dense and durable. Quartz countertops however cannot withstand direct heat, so always use a pot stand under hot pots or pans. One benefit of quartz over natural stone is the availability of white and light colours. Our range of quartz contains several beautiful colours, and the entire Silestone range is also available.

The Countertop Guide is an introduction to the world of countertops and stone construction. Be inspired by our work, learn more about different types of stone and their features, and keep up to date with the latest news from the industry.
